HON’BLE COMMUNICATION MINISTER ASSURED INCLUSION OF GDS IN 7thCPC

Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, Hon’ble Minister for Communications & IT had invited Secretary Generals of NFPE & FNPO for discussion on 5th May 2015

After discussion Secretary General reported that Minister, Communications told that GDS are to be included in 7th CPC and he will personally convince the Finance Minister to grant approval to the proposal of Communication Ministry to include GDS in 7th CPC.

Based on this assurance Postal JCA decided to defer the strike.
In case the assurance of the Minister is not honoured Postal JCA go on strike.

It is informed by the Postal JCA leaders that the ensuing indefinite strike from 6th May 2015 is deferred on the assurance of the Hon'ble Minister of Communications & IT Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad.
A meeting held with the Hon'ble Minister with Postal JCA leaders (Secretary Generals of NFPE & FNPO) along with Secretary, DoP & Member (HRD) in Sanchar Bhawan at 1.00pm.
After the meeting it is decided by Postal JCA that the proposed indefinite strike commencing from 6th May 2015 stands deferred.
Secretary Generals NFPE & FNPO submitted memorandum on GDS issues to Hon`ble Minister of Communications in the meeting held on 05.05.2015 in connection with Strike Secretary (P), Member HRD & DDG SR were also present.
