BHUBANESWAR:  If you live and breathe cricket, here is a way to make the ensuing ICC World Cup 2015 memorable. A souvenir sheet comprising the logo of the World Cup and colours of competing nations in ball-shaped stamps has been launched by Odisha Postal Circle of Department of Posts.

The souvenir sheet was originally brought out by New Zealand Post as the country is co-host of the ICC event.

To mark the occasion, Department of Post has customised the souvenir sheet by depicting India’s win at its centre. It has tried to capture the essence of cricket in the country where the game is a ‘religion’ by itself.

On Tuesday, Chief Postmaster General Tilak De of Odisha presented the souvenir sheet. This is for the first time that Department of Posts is presenting the 14 ball-shaped stamps of New Zealand Post on World Cup, he said.

The souvenir is available at Philatelic Bureau of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack as well as the 33 Head Post Offices for Rs 400. Discounts are also being offered for bulk buys. Director of Postal Services (HQ) Pawan Kumar Singh was also present.
