JOINT CIRCLE COUNCIL MEETING OF NFPE UNIONS INCLUDING GDS UNION HELD AT BHUBANESWAR ON 11.01.09 .

MEETING WAS ADDRESSED BY SECY. GENERAL NFPE COM. K. RAGAVENDRAN AND ALL INDIA LEADERS COMRADES KUMBKHAR (OGS P-4 CHQ), PRANAB BHATACHARYA(DY.GENERAL SECY.ADMN),SANJOY CHAKROBORTHY(AGS R-4 CHQ) AND ALL CIRCLE SECRETRARIES OF NFPE UNIONS OF ORISSA CIRCLE.

COMRADE N.C. SINGH CIRCLE SECY. ADDRESSED AND ASSURED TOTAL STRIKE OF GDS IN ORISSA CIRCLE ALONG WITH ENTIRE REGULAR EMPLOYEES FROM 20TH JANUARY 2009

THE JOINT COUNCIL WAS PRESIDED OVER BY THE PRESIDIUM CONSISTING OF SENIOR LEADER B.MOHANTY AND R.C.MISHRA CHAIRMAN OF NFPE COC ORISSA. COMRADE R.N.DHAL GENERAL SECRETARY COC ORISSA ELABORATED THE PURPOSE OF THE JOINT CONVENTION.

THE CONVENTION RESOLVED TO ORGANISE TOTAL STRIKE IN ORISSA CIRCLE.

INDEFINITE STRIKE FROM 17.12.08

Dear Comrades,

As per the strike notice served by our general secretary on 2.12.08 and also NFPE federal secretariate unanimously decided total solidarity for Indefinite strike for GDS from 17.12.08. Therefore all the GDS employees under Orissa Circle will join the indefinite strike from 17.12.08.All regular employees are called upon to join Indefinite strike from 17.12.08. As per direction of their CHQ & NFPE.

THE CHATER OF DEMANDS AS GIVEN BELOW:-

1. In view of judicial pronouncements, the G.D.S.employees be declared as Central Civil Servants for all purposes. 2.Consequently, all rules and regulations applicable to Central Civil Servants be made applicable to G.D.S. employees ( scrapping the discriminatory separate rules.)

3. No curtailment or rural Postal facility and rejecntion of Impratale and ridiculous norms suggested by Sri. Nataraja Murti. The work hours of Branch Post Masters should be between 4 to 6hours ( i.e the Post office should kept be open for 4ours at least and upto 6 hours.)

4. E.D.S.O's should be kept open for 5 to 7 hours

5. Duty of all other outdoor staff should be for 5 to 7 hours.

6. In keeping with recommendations of 6 the C.P.C Pay bands with grade pay corresponding to departmental counterparts be prescribed.

7. Annual increment of 3% as suggested by 6 the C.P.C.

8. All Allowances / benefits at per with full time employees.

9. All retirement benefits as are due to central Civil Servants.

10. P.L.B. as per formula and no curtailment.

FORMATION OF REVEW COMMITTEE

After Strong Protest of our General Secretary COM. S.S.Mahadevaia the Department of Posts has been constituted a group of following senior officers to examine the recommendations and also the group officers may look in to the Representation received from GDS union. The report will submit by first week of December 2008 for taking necessary action by Department of Posts. After that the indefinite strike notice will be served by our CHQ\NFPE. In this connection NFPE will organise one national convention at Nagarjun University , GUNTUR under AP Circlr on 29th November-08. All The circle secreteris will be assemble and discuss to success the Indefinite Strike. NAME AND DESIGNATION OF THE OFFCERS Sri P. BONUS PAYMENT ORDER RELEASED

The CPMG Orissa invited Com.R.N.Dhal Leader RJCM Staffside and Com.N.C.Singh Circle Secretary E.D on 15.11.2008 at 10 AM to discuss on bonus issue on enhancd ceiling to GDS and advised all Head s of Divisions to release for GDS in Postalwing in orissa Circle for Payment after finalsation of discussion.

DA.7%ganded for GDS from.1/07/2008.

As Nataraj murti comittee is yet to submit the report on GDS the DA from 1/07/2008 is now sacntiond on the basis the old formula to 3 lakhs of GDS employees ,it will be 7% of tge formula. the department post has issued orders to day granting 7% DA to GDS.
